ON&OFF MAIN

ON&OFF MAIN is a series of photographs taken within one square kilometre of Picton's Main Street. For the last 14 years, I have been visiting the County and staying with family just off of Main Street.  Over time, I have developed a deep affection for this place. Walking the same streets again and again, I kept noticing something different: a little quirk, a sign, a snippet of architecture, a tree, a utility box. Small things, easily overlooked, quietly insisting on being seen. This series is a personal ode to a place caught between what remains and what is slowly disappearing– and to the particular kind of looking that only familiarity makes possible.
